A microfluidic bleeding model to investigate the effects of blood flow shear on microvascular hemostasis

Abstract Hemorrhage is the phenomenon of blood loss caused by vascular trauma or other pathological reasons, which life-threatening in severe cases. Because microhemorrhage difficult to visually monitor and pre-treat vivo , it necessary establish vitro prediction methods study hemostasis mechanism different physiological environments. In this study, a microfluidic bleeding model was developed investigate effect flow shear on microvascular hemostasis. The results indicated that regulation rate platelet aggregation affected growth morphology hemostatic thrombus, finally regulated process This significant studies mechanisms, reliable microhemorrhages, an adjustment treatment scheme.
